Rémy Martin XO already carries strong visual equity and a highly distinctive bottle, but the challenge was to create packaging that could deliver more than shelf impact. In travel retail, where purchase is often tied to gifting, identity and emotion, the opportunity was to make the pack itself feel valuable, memorable and worthy of keeping long after the bottle was opened. We approached the project around perceived value, looking at how sensory impact, emotional meaning and cultural relevance can come together through packaging. The aim was to create something that works at three levels: attracting attention on shelf, elevating the gifting moment, and continuing to have a role beyond purchase through reuse or reinterpretation. The resulting concepts turn the reveal into part of the luxury experience. The Double Reveal Pack opens into a sculptural fan-like structure that frames the bottle theatrically, while Furoshiki-inspired wrapping transforms the outer pack into a reusable table cloth with a luggage tag detail. These ideas shift packaging from a protective layer into something expressive, functional and collectible in its own right. The wider system extends that thinking through travel accessories, games, home objects and serve tools, from passport holders and airplane kits to fans, lighting, coasters and ice stones. Together, the concepts build a richer XO Night world around the bottle, turning gifting into an experience that begins at shelf and continues through travel, entertaining and everyday rituals.
